Miata Trophy 2025

The 2025 Miata Trophy season is fast approaching, with a cracking calendar planned by the boys and girls at MSVT that takes in no less than three full Grands Prix circuits.

The season opener is a trek up to Norfolk and the Snetterton track. Relatively close to home for us, the fast and tricky layout of the 300 circuit should make for a great curtain raiser. Over the years we’ve raced in all soets of conditions at Snett, from 35 degrees in Cub Enduro a few years ago to the mud and rain of the 2023 Miata Trophy it’s usually a circuit of extremes. We are there in March, so I think we can probably guess which end of the extreme we are likely to get!

We move from Snetterton to the Silverstone GP track. The fastest (and longest) track on the calendar, the huge track width and long straights make for good ‘pack’ racing and is one we are really looking forward to. We had a very trying weekend here last year so will be looking for some redemption for sure.

Brands GP comes next, which is a bit of hallowed ground for any true enthusiast. Last used for the British Grand Prix in 1986, it is only available for a few days each season and we are privileged to have it on the Miata Trophy calendar for the third successive season.

Donington Park marks the midway point of the season in July and completes the third successive race on Grand Prix layouts. We are hoping for a scorcher and a re-run of the cracking weekend we had there last year.

Oulton Park and Cadwell Park are back on the calendar for 2025 and will host the fifth and sixth meeting of the season respectively, before the championship heads back to Kent for the season finale at Brands Hatch, where hopefully we can be in the mix for the chocolates again.

Before we can going, we are making our way through the list of maintenance and repair jobs to get all the team cars ready for the season start at Snetterton in two months time. We’ve got everything fabricated/built/serviced for each of the cars, so just have the task of putting them all back together in time for the pre-season test on the 21st Feb. We’ll find out then if the hard work in the off-season has yielded any results!
